Jikan ～時間～

Hey guys, I know this isn't the sort of announcement anyone wants to see.


I haven't been enjoying myself in Jikan for a long while now, and I've been trying to push through it because you guys are fantastic, and I know a lot of you are still very enthusiastic about the game.

I hoped that reducing my workload would help with motivating me, but the truth of the matter is, I just can't make myself care about a game I'm no longer motivated to play in. This month's event was supposed to be an easy throwback event, I've had a whole month to work on it, and even then, I haven't managed to type even a single paragraph.

As such, I will be closing Jikan.

I'm very sorry to be closing the game so soon after trying to mix things up, but please understand, modding is a very time consuming job that is only fun when you have the passion for it, and my passion is currently burned out.

I'm really sorry to anyone this might be blindsiding, but to be perfectly honest, I haven't had a lot of people I could talk to earnestly about modding, and this is something I've been considering since last year. It is not a decision I made lightly, I just didn't have it in me to individually message everyone.

Jikan has been my baby these past two years, and it's been some of the most fun I've ever had in DWRP, and that wouldn't have been possible without all of you. Thank you so much for enjoying the game, and enjoying the world I've crafted these past few years.

I will be posting one final log before the game officially closes. As Jikan was never really intended to have a metaplot, this will be less of a wrap-up and more of one last hurrah before the game ends! It may not be as extensive as an event, but I do hope people enjoy it. I plan to post this log as soon as it is done, no later than February 20th!




THAT ALL SAID:

If, after a long break, I manage to find the motivation once more, I do hope to reopen the game in the future. I genuinely have enjoyed being a mod, and being able to craft a game that perfectly suits my own preferences.

But I don't want to make any promises, seeing as I did already fail to keep the game running longer under the new schedule. If you're not already, please follow the official plurk for any potential re-openings in the future.
