how dangerous is the venus flytrap ayakashi, is it a gentle gnawing or more a "say goodbye to your hand" gnawing

It won't take off your hand (as long as you keep the talisman on), but it also won't let go until it finds something more interesting to gnaw on! The guides recommend offering a shoe if you get chomped, to avoid damaging the ayakashi by trying to force it off.

If you take the talisman off, this ayakashi's curse allows it to instantly sever anything it bites without shedding any blood, leaving anything that walks too close to it with a fully healed stump in place of their leg. As this is a magic-based injury, the limb can be regrown in a hospital, but that's not a very fun experience for anyone involved.
