You've seen this before. The thought strikes suddenly, during whatever it is you were doing. Having an important conversation? Running away from home? Dying in the midst of a fierce battle? Where ever you are, one things is true: you're certain this isn't the first time you've lived through this. But upon realizing this, that's when it happens. Like someone hitting rewind on the VCR, you're back where you were ten minutes ago. And it happens again. And again. And again--Until finally, something is different. A door stands in front of you. Will you go through it? Nothing else seems to be working, so this might be your only chance.

Upon opening the door and heading inside, a strange feeling overwhelms you. It's comforting and warm, like being enveloped in a soft, heavy blanket. You hear a voice murmuring in your ear, but it's unintelligible.
And in the next moment, you've appeared in front of a mysterious stone shrine in the middle of a forest, surrounded by the unfamiliar yet worried faces of fox-like humans in red and white robes, speaking in a foreign language that doesn't sound so foreign to you anymore.
Maryouku University

Things are a little different this month. Up until now, all refugees have been brought to Nippon via the Nanjikan Laboratory in Tokyo. But thanks to a special collaboration with Maryouku University in Kyoto, this month, all refugees will arrive in Kyoto, the Yokai's kingdom in the West.
There isn't much time to process what's happening before characters are transported to the nearby Maryouku University. All injuries are completely healed, and those under mental duress will have a powerful soothing spell cast on them to calm them down. Their every need is met: food is offered, questions are answered. "You've arrived in the Western Kingdom of Nippon, on a planet called Gaia," they explain. "When you became aware of the timeloop, we... well, let us explain."
Orientation Maryouku University, Kyoto
Everyone is brought to a large auditorium, where dozens of other people looking similarly out of place are seated around them. The Kitsune Yokai from before filter on stage, as well as a number of humans and other Yokai in labcoats. And sheer a brief introduction, they begin to explain. What they experienced back home was a timeloop. While the loops in their home worlds are smaller and likely to resolve on their own, the fact that such a small amount of time is being repeated is what makes them so dangerous for those who become aware of it. And they've been working around the clock, checking adjacent universes for others who've become aware. While the technical explanations may go over the heads of most, that's not the reason they were all brought together like this. "In order to bring you here, we used the very same magic responsible for freeing our world... Kizuna."
And they continue to explain: their own world was trapped in a year long loop for decades, if not longer. Through the use of an ancient form of bonding magic, they bound their world to the present flow of time, allowing it to progress past the timeloop. Or at least, that's how they thought it worked. In truth, Kizuna is very powerful reality-warping magic. And thanks to the powerful bond all refugees now share with the country of Nippon, the magic surrounding them will only continue to evolve.
Until a means of resuming the flow of time back in their home world is found, they'll just have to make due with this one. But not to worry, because Nippon is fully committed to taking care of the refugees!
A Brand New Home Kyoto, Kansai
Once orientation is over, characters will be allowed to choose housing in both Kyoto and Tokyo, enabling them the means of easily living between both cities if they please. These housing options will be fully paid for by the government of Nippon, with the NRL and MRU providing a stipend for food expenses in Tokyo and Kyoto respectively.
In lieu of providing transportation, all refugees will be granted an unlimited rail pass that they can use to travel all across Nippon! As of the beginning of May, express routes connecting Tokyo and Kyoto will be running at all times of day, allowing refugees to freely travel between the Eastern and Western Kingdoms.
Those looking to experience Kyoto city life may choose an apartment in the bustling Higashiyama. Unlike the rather fancy apartments back in Tokyo, these ones are more simplistic, ranging only from studios to one bedrooms. Unfortunately, it seems no one got the memo that most refugees can't use magic yet, as everything in the apartment appears to depend on it, from the refrigerator to the lights. Only the plumbing still works independently! You'll just have to make do until they provide some upgrades in the next week, it seems. Raw eggs on raw rice in the dark, anyone?
For a more unique living experience, refugees may choose the Hanamikoji Okiya in Gion. Unlike the refugee dorms in Tokyo, these are shared with the local Geiko and Hakon, female and male Geisha respectively. While the bedrooms themselves are all shared and not too glamorous, anyone hoping to immerse themselves in Kyoto's culture may enjoy sharing meals in the dining room with locals every night. Especially when those locals are training to become entertainers, meaning dinner is often accompanied by story telling, dancing, or even singing -- which the refugees may also be encouraged to participate in for fun.
And those looking for something convenient are welcome to stay at the MRU student dorms in Uji. Located on campus and only a stone's throw away from the train station, all dorm rooms are fitted with a bunk bed and AC for those hot summer months. However, it seems these rooms were designed with the far more petite Kitsune Yokai in mind, as the beds are notoriously short, both in length and height. Time to argue over who gets the top bunk, as at least they get a bit more headroom.
NRL Time Refugee Support Network
Once they've received their housing assignment, all refugees will be given small handheld devices called magi-tech comms, or magi-comms for short. They're heavier than a conventional smartphone would be, but far sturdier, and powered by the ambient magic that flows through the city. They don't need to be charged, but they won't work outside of cities at all. Upon booting it up, they'll find a message linking them to a special channel for refugees.
#nrl_time_refugee_support - online
Use the following code for your top-level if you'd like! This is how network communication will look for characters in the game until more advanced magi-tech comms become available for characters.
Love is in the Air

While everyone is certainly free to return to Tokyo as of this month, with Golden Week in full swing, it's not as though anyone has any reason to hurry back to work, with even the scientists at the NRL insisting on staying behind for another week of vacation. But Golden Week isn't the only thing going on this month.
May is the month of love in the Western Kingdom, and for good reason! Traditionally, it's the month where marriage proposals are made, weddings take place, and couples decide to settle down and start a family.
For this reason, those who stay in Kyoto will be encouraged to visit the Jishu Shrine, located in Higashiyama right next to Kiyomizu. Known as the shrine of love and matchmaking, it's popular among locals and tourists alike. And for the first week of May, the Love Festival is in full swing.
Lover's Stone Higashiyama, Kyoto
Upon entering the shrine, the first thing everyone stumbles upon (sometimes literally) is the Koiuranai-no-ishi. A set of special stones placed exactly ten meters apart, legend says that anyone who can cross from one stone to the next with their eyes closed will have all their relationship dreams come true. As such, many attempt to do so! But it's easier said than done, for a multitude of reasons.
But by far, the most unfair reason is that a time surge has settled right at the front of the shrine, making it nigh impossible to guess just how long one must walk to reach the stone. Those who attempt to make the journey will find time speeding up and slowing down as they walk, meaning they may open their eyes to discover that they haven't actually moved at all. Or worse, they may zoom across he distance, only to trip over the stone at the very end.
But it seems there's a way around the time surge, using another legend born from the stone. If the one they're fated to be with either stands at the end of one of the stones, or crosses the path between the two, they'll be guaranteed to make it to the other side just fine. Naturally, this can make things pretty awkward when it happens by chance between strangers, as bystanders familiar with the legend are sure to raise a ruckus when they see it happen. Better take a moment to get to know your new soulmate!
Wish Upon A Shrine Higashiyama, Kyoto
Another popular stop at he Jishu Shrine is the Okage Myojin, which is said to grant anyone who prays there a single wish. Ordinarily, whether these wishes come true or not depends on whether on believes in such things. However, given the nature of the Kizuna surrounding the refugees, the one wish granted by the shrine has become something far more literal.
Anyone who offers a coin in exchange for a wish will find that wish coming true, no matter what it is. Wish you could be taller? Suddenly, you've doubled in height! Wish a million yen? Hundreds of bills come shooting out from the donation box! Wish to see your deceased loved ones again? Well... this is where it gets creepy. Because that comes true as well, though perhaps not in the way they hoped, as the corpse of their loved one is seemingly ejected from the ground.
Mercifully, these wishes are temporary. Whatever they wished for will cease to exist after only a few minutes, disappearing so suddenly that everyone around them thinks they only imagined it. But will those few minutes be ones spent in awe, or ones staring in horror? Better make sure to phrase your prayers carefully.
Dangerously Furry Higashiyama, Kyoto
Feeling a little hungry after leaving the shrine? No worries, as there's a small stall selling one of Kyoto's signature treats: a square of mochi folded into a triangle around a sweet filling. While most of these treats come in simple and familiar flavors, such as red bean and green tea, there are some rather interesting flavors as well. And all of these carry a rather interesting effect when consumed by the refugees.
Eating the yellow pineapple mochi will cause someone to gain the features of Kitsune Yokai, complete with brightly colored hair and multiple tails flowing behind them. The red kiwi mochi will turn them into an Inu Yokai, taking on a more anthropomorphic look, complete with full-body fur. And the blue mango mochi will turn them into a Bakeneko Yokai, ranging from simple cat ears to full-blown cat on two legs.
These effects may last for a few minutes, or even a few days! And those affected may even continue to adopt these changes whenever they're afflicted by Kizuna side effects from now on. If asked, the shop keepers will look just as baffled as the refugees, insisting they've never seen something like that happen before -- but will also quietly wonder whether it has anything to do with the shop being owned by a poly-trio made up of a Kitsune, an Inu, and a Bakeneko. Perhaps their love was just contagious? In any case, you're a furry now, so you better enjoy it while you can.
OOC Notes
Welcome to Jikan's May TDM! The TDM is considered game canon, and also serves as the intro log! That said, whether you choose to carry threads over to the game or not is up to you!
• Starting this month, players now have the option of having their characters arrive in Tokyo or Kyoto! TDMs will randomly take place in one or the other depending on what areas are being explored in the latter prompts, but characters will still be able to pick where they show up regardless.
• Current players are more than welcome to top-level, or take prompts from the TDM and use for their own logs! This may change in the future depending on how busy TDMs become.
• CRAU characters may start regaining their CRAU memories one month after the TDM. However, vague feelings of familiarity are allowed between previous game CR! For more on this, please read the FAQ!
• You do not need to sign-up for housing! All characters will be allowed free housing in both the East and the West. Choose whichever style you prefer. Roommates can be chosen by the characters or can be random. If you want to switch housing later, your character has the option of moving at the beginning of each month.
• Wishes can be anything, including living people, who will also cease to exist after a few minutes. However, for current players apping a second character: you have the option to have your character join the game this way, in which case they will not disappear, and will be encouraged to visit the MRU immediately to be examined. These characters will remember a time loop, but will not remember seeing a door, instead appearing in Kyoto after hearing the wishing-character's voice call to them.
Please leave any questions about the TDM prompts in the thread below! General game questions can be directed to the FAQ!

RIP to Genbu | wildcard
Of course, this made him stand out like a sore thumb that's been painted on and decorated, but he never seemed to mind.
But enough about his strange appearance to any new people he meets, his overtly friendly behavior was also a...thing. Which made it no surprise that he beamed and strode over to a familiar face he spotted in the festival crowd, shouting out his name in his loud, boisterous voice.]
Ooooooi! Itty Bitty~!
[At least he's sure this was a familiar face. But was it? Clearly mistaking this poor young man who was traversing the festival for someone else, a bulking giant with horns approaches the much smaller man with a big beaming smile. And, Twelve have mercy on this man, the giant reaches out and attempts to hoist him up, intending to pull him into his chest to give him a big, passionate hug.]

Mephisto Pheles | Blue Exorcist
[Those who choose the apartments are in for a special treat. While at first our seemed they were stuck in a small apartment with roommate, upon arriving, the only thing they'll find is a small white dog wearing a pink polkadot bow around its neck, sleeping peacefully on the tatami floor.]
[Of course, this is no ordinary dog. And even characters capable of sensing the supernatural may struggle to see through his disguise. But it's definitely Mephisto, testing the waters to see what kind of person he can trick into being his caretaker for a little while.]
[Everyone needs a hobby, okay... but unless he's given a reason to do so, he won't reveal himself to be anything more than a normal dog.]
2 | Soulmate Search
[It's only natural that Actual Weeaboo Mephisto Pheles would be delighted to find himself in some fantasy version of the country he knows and loves. When he hears about the festival in Jishu Shrine, he heads there right away, curious to see the differences between this world and his own.]
[Or at least, he was excited at first. But Mephisto is no ordinary demon, and as the King of Time, naturally the distortions of time in this world are affecting him much more strongly than they do most people. And after spending what certainly felt like three weeks just trying to enter the damn place, he eventually gives up and just teleports somewhere inside the grounds of the shrine, safely past the love stones.]
[But even after that, he still looks a bit disgruntled, and ends up standing at the end of one of the stones, a hand held to the side of his head as he tries to reorient himself. Should someone happen to make the journey across the two stones, they'll find him seemingly waiting for them at the end. And while it wasn't his intention-- he'll ham it up anyway. At least he's just wearing a normal kimono right now instead of his usual tackiness.]
Oh my! Did the red string of fate draw you safely to my side?
3 | Foxy Demon
[Mephisto, whose diet back home consists entirely of traditional Japanese snack foods and instant ramen, is delighted when he sees the sheer variety of mochi available. It's only by chance that he doesn't end up consuming all three of the enchanted flavors, but in the end, he winds up with a sweet of dark blue fox ears and nine voluminous tails swaying behind him to match, the ends fading to a lighter purple color.]
[But he's no stranger to transformations, and decides to may as well live it up a little while looking like this, settling down in the corner of a nearby Uki bar, using his tails as a cushion. Despite being a demon, he was a bit of a light-weigh considering the condition his body is in. Which is why it only takes a few puffs of Uki to knock him on his ass, his German accent coming through thicker than usual.]
Fufu, I see I'm not the only foreigner in the bar tonight! Come, have a seat next to me, won't you? I promise I won't bite... much.
4 | Wildcard
[Hit me up at
Foxy Foxy~
Something that means by the time he's found himself in the uki bar, Yato's sporting a very cute little set of dark blue cat ears atop his head and a matching tail.
He somewhat knows the result of what happens in this place but here he was anyway, snacking on a couple uki treats when the other man got his attention. The words alone - tinted with a notable german accent - were enough on their own, but the idea of someone with a sense of humor was also quite appealing. ]
You won't bite... much, huh?

4 Eva Wild | May 3rd Probably
And it feels that way. Setsura hadn't known Higuchi long and the trip to Kyoto had plucked them from their shared living space, but the absence of that woman's energy occupying her room feels odd, off to her. Reminds her she should be careful, really, about getting comfortable, attached to the people she meets here, an idea that almost seems laughable if she were to be honest with herself.
She's never really been one for half measures, after all.
Fortune may be her dominion, but she's never had much good when it comes to romantic love, hm? It's a thought that strikes her as she walks the festival with ears open and it's for that reason that she gives the Lover's Stone a wide berth. No point in souring some hapless fool's Fortune in love.
Eventually, her feet take her to the Okage Myojin and she loiters for a while in the shadowy branches of a nearby tree, observing those who come, pray, and go. The blossoms of this particular tree are in the process of giving way to leaves and she... misses hers far more than she could put into words if pressed in this particular moment. She has and certain decisions are easily made, looking after those whose wishes have apparently been granted.
Dropping casually from the branches in which she'd been perching, she straightens easy and approaches the donation box. She's choosy about the coin she plucks from her pocket to hold in one palm, a potentially odd gesture if one doesn't realize exactly what it is she's about to do.
The wind sings as she brings both hands together once, twice, the sound of her clap expanding, echoing. If Setsura's going to pray for anything, she's going to be heard. She's never really been one for half measures, after all, and it's reflected not only in this gesture, but very particular words into which she speaks power, the tattoo at her tongue aglow. ]
I wish for the fastest, most efficient way to Assiah.
[ Simple words, perhaps, but words spoken with an indomitable will that casts an odd silence over the area in that moment. Hm. ]

Xiao | Genshin Impact
[ As it stands, he’d been coaxed to come out and visit this shrine though he hadn’t been fond of the idea. People were enamored with crossing from one stone to another due to some kind of legend around them and he’d seen many fail to do so. Time surges were prevalent here and people either didn’t move or tripped over the stone at the end.
He was ready to dismiss it, but after some careful prodding from a certain individual?
Xiao decided that he was going to try this and so he closed his eyes and began walking towards the other stone. No, he didn’t entirely believe in the legend but he was giving this whole thing a chance. Only when he reached the end, did he hesitate before opening his eyes. ]
...Were you… standing there this whole time?
[ This reaction will be positive if it’s with someone he knows or cares for, but if you’re a stranger? It may be a little more bitter and cold. ]
Dangerously Furry
[ While it was not necessarily easy to him to be able to eat other foods of any kind other than Almond Tofu, it didn’t mean he wouldn’t at least try for a certain archon’s sake. The yellow mochi reminded him of Rex Lapis when he’d seen it so Xiao chose it somewhat based on that and found the texture and taste was not immediately repulsive to him.
His stomach and body didn’t rebel against it, so it was a small relief. A bit chewy, sweet but not lacking flavor.
Finishing this sweet treat resulted in quite the sight, however. A short time later, closer to evening, Xiao was walking down a street with noticeably longer hair, nine voluminous tails starting a deep, almost black that shifted to a lighter green that matched his hair at the tips and a pair of notable fox ears on his head that matched the tails.
He was quite the sight when coupled with the outfit which just made him look even more otherworldly than he already did. Yet it didn’t stop him from bristling when he caught someone staring at him. ]
Didn’t anyone ever tell you it’s rude to stare at other people?
[ Surely it has nothing to do with how pretty he probably looks right now. Of course not. ]

well, she's making the most of it! she's always been unlucky, but maybe this could be a blessing in disguise! a vacation, of sorts. she is smiling nervously as she looks into the Gion dorms. this place looks interesting. she decides to strike up a conversation with the nearest person to ease her mind]

III) i'm under a spell
[so the shrine visit was kind of a bust! but Hungary will not be taken down. there is still so much to explore. she sighs, as her stomach rumbles, and she realizes she's smelling food. she rushes to the stall, and gets several treats, of varying flavors. she starts eating the blue mango mochi, bringing a hand to her cheek]
Ahhh! It's kind of strange, but really good!

[First thing this small brunette should hear is a deep, loud voice speaking in a dialect that sounds sort of Kansai, yet off. First thing he should feel when he falls forward is bare, scarred skin against his face. And should he look up, first thing he should see is an over seven foot tall, horned man smiling back down with a grin that was way too friendly for a stranger to be giving a random person that bumped into his bare abdomen. He's dressed in a flashy red crop top jacket that doesn't seem to be covering a lot of his body. Needless to say, this man standing out is an understatement.

[ He's peeking.
Iiiit's pretty obvious that he's peeking, too. He's got his hands over his face and all, but it's not too hard to catch a glimpse of either the real eye or the wooden one squinting between his fingers as he navigates the stones. And even so, he still doesn't seem to be having a lot of success making it from one to the other. In fact, no matter how much walking he does, it's like he's not actually moving forward at all. ]
Why's this takin' so long?
[ It shouldn't be this hard to achieve the magical fulfillment of all your relationship goals dammit ]
b - wish
[ Ragetti can't read the signage at the Okage Myojin shrine, but he gets the idea pretty quickly. Drop a coin, make a wish, huh? Even he probably can't screw that one up - can't hurt to try. So like he's seen the other pilgrims do, he steps up to the shrine, tosses in a 5-yen coin, bows his head, and mumbles: ]
Wish I had me a real glass eye.
[ Pop! Oh, hey. There it is. Real glass eye, there in his hand, blue like his regular eye, right size and everything. Ragetti stares at it in delight for a second, then, realizing exactly how much bigger he could have been thinking, hastily fumbles in his pocket for as many more coins as he can dig out. ]
Wait, no - I wish I had me a real eye, like in me head an' everything! An' I wish Pintel was here, an' - an' I wish I had loads of gold, an' - ye listening?
[ The shrine is not listening. The additional coins plunk to the bottom of the offering box without reply. Ragetti swears under his breath and makes to kick it. Please stop this man before they ban refugees from Jishu Shrine altogether. ]
c - furry
[ Ragetti's never had kiwi-flavored anything before, but he's not sure it's actually supposed to be red. Not unsure enough not to snarf it down, though. Future snacks are good stuff.
He is fully unaware of the floppy dog ears sprouting from his head a minute later, but even Ragetti can't remain oblivious when fur starts growing on his arms. He stares around, panicky, through suddenly much shaggier hair. This kind of stuff may just tend to happen around here, but he hasn't quite learned that yet. ]
I didn't do it! Whatever it is yer cursin' me for, I'm sorry, I'll put it back, I promise! Ye need blood? I got blood, please, I been an abomination o' nature before, I ain't doin' it again -

Wen Kexing • Word of Honor
(( Wen Kexing believes in things like fate and soulmates. He knows because he’s experienced both. So, he isn’t all that skeptical when hears about the stones. What he is skeptical of is the chance of seeing his soulmate. As far as Kexing knows, Zhou Zishu doesn’t exist in this world. That’s really a terrible fact against the place. No, Zishu is probably back at Four Seasons Manor training his disciple.
And Wen Kexing is here. Alone. No A-Xu, no Gu Xiang. He’s truly alone for the first time in at least two decades. Maybe that has him feeling a little nostalgic, a little hopeful as he takes his turn at the stones. Maybe he can see his soulmate again. Maybe not. He dares to hope as he closes his eyes and begins the walk.
A few steps in, time speeds up and Kexing finds himself stumbling over the second stone. He rights himself quickly and snaps open his fan casually as if that’s what he meant to do. Ah, but he does catch sight of someone standing there over the edge of the fan. A smile comes over his face and he nods in greeting. ))
Hello there.
Dᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜsʟʏ Fᴜʀʀʏ
(( Upon seeing the food stall, Kexing heads over and immediately hold out his hand to the side. It takes a few seconds before he remembers he can’t rely on Zishu’s purse here. He sighs to himself, silently reminding himself that he didn’t used to rely on anyone before. How is it any different now?
One yellow pineapple mochi later and Kexing’s hair has gone completely white, topped with a conspicuous pair of fox ears, and nine fluffy tails tipped in red (conveniently matching his pink and red robes). The tails swish in time with the lazy wave of his fan as he walks, soaking in the attention from any stray stares. ))
Do you see something you like?

Lover's Stone of course XD
Next he knew...he was at the head of the path. And someone...approaches. Taking a deep breath, cherishing the smells and faint taste of the air for the first time in a little while, Zishu turns to face whomever these spirits have decided is his soulmate. He knows the truth.
And seeing the man approaching, familiar fan moving elegantly at his waist, brings a smile to his face and he laughs quietly, shoulders shaking just a little. ]
Ah! Lao Wen. Suddenly so formal?

Dangerously Furry
Her instincts kicked in and she ran to see what was wrong, until she spotted the other woman there, with impossibly cute feline ears and a tail. The horror should be what Mitsuri focused on, but instead she just clasped her hands over her mouth for a moment. ]
Oh! Sorry, but... you look so cute, miss!
[ The words all slipped out in a rush, and in this moment she could possibly be forgiven for missing that she also had a similar pair of cat ears atop her head and a matching tail that also happened to be a nice shade of pink like most of her hair. ]

Might wanna watch the language, yeah? Never know if any kiddies are around to hear it.
[The broken horned man speaks with a dialect that someone who speaks Japanese could recognise as kansaiben, but there's something a little off about it, something otherworldly.]
Need a hand, dude?

Wu Xi ( Word of Honor )
The whole presentation doesn't make a lot of sense to Wu Xi. He's uneasy as he looks around, perhaps hoping to find someone that seems more knowledgable than he is on what's being spoken about. He doesn't think he should be here, there are things he needs to take care of and yet he finds himself with the person still talking.
At some point, he does lean over to whisper to his neighbor, "Does this make any sense to you?"
[ Wu Xi had spent a respectful amount of time in the shrine, although, he had not really participated in any of the suggested tradition. However, upon leaving he does stop at the stall and greets politely before settling on a blue mango mochi.
Luckily, the changes are relatively minimal (although, Wu Xi does not think so). There are now cat ears and a tail ]
What did you do to me?
[ Wu Xi demands of the shopkeeper, even in the face of the other's apparent bafflement -- they must know. ]

sunshine: my name's Sunny, and I'm totally new here!
sunshine: it's kind of weird, how it's both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time...
sunshine: I guess I ought to use this to ask some kind of question, huh?
sunshine: in that case... I've got 2:
sunshine: 1. does anyone know what's going on back in our own worlds? I'm kind of worried about my sister!
sunshine: and 2. what are the gods of this place like? has anyone talked to any of them? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!!

[ Oh Jolyne had noticed how the other had been going at those mochi, each of those tails sprouting out. She had stepped in just before she was going for the red one with a laugh. ]
I think you might want to let the other mochi's effects wear off before you dive into another flavour.
[ She had given the blond a playful wink, before motioning at the collection of tails behind her. ]
I mean, a dog and a kitsune hybrid might be pretty cute, but do you really want to take that chance?

Aerith Gainsborough | FF7R
[It's easy to become enchanted with Gion and Kyoto as a whole. The district almost reminds her of Wall Market but even though it seems safer Aerith is careful to keep her wits about her. She knows that even the most beautiful places can hold hidden dangers underneath the shine.
But she loves the nightly dinners with the locals where she learns how to dance with a fan, learning to twirl it around one finger without hitting herself in the face. It's definitely something she's going to teach Cloud and Tifa when they are reunited.
During the day she is out exploring, venturing to whatever sights catch her eye, stopping in small shops along the way, picking up a bright red oil-painted paper umbrella when it starts to drizzle.
But it doesn't dim her smile as she turns to the person near her, holding up a flower hair pin up.]
What do you think? Does it suit me?
Love Is In the Air
Wish upon a Shrine
[Aerith just has one wish- she has always wanted to see him one last time even if it was for a moment. She clasps her hands together, closing her eyes and bowing her head. One of the locals had told her that her wish, no matter how fantastical, would be grated but she expects that maybe her wish is just a bit too much.
If there was a chance, even if it was small- please, let her see him one last chance. When she opens her eyes and stands she wants to hope that she'll see Zack standing there with his arms stretched out, waiting for her. But she turns around it's not Zack's bright smile and beautiful green eyes that greet her.
She had never known how he had died. One day his soul had returned to the Lifestream and she hoped against hope that he had gone in peace. But the body on the ground in front of her is riddled with bullets and though his expression is serene, grief and anger make her chest tight.]
Zack-
[She falls to her knees, reaching out to touch him but his body fades as soon as her hand would have touched him and he's gone once more. She doesn't care who is watching as she covers her face with her hands, a choked sob coming from her chest.]
Jiang Cheng | The Untamed
Jiang Cheng had explored the shrine as well as having been taking in the new local that he has found himself in. There are things that remind him of home, but it's not Lotus Pier. He still has Zidian at least. After the time in the shrine, however, he is ready for a snack and is drawn to the cart selling mochi. He selects a red kiwi mochi and walks away as he starts to eat.
At first, he doesn't notice anything happening, the way his body is changing, growing hairy and his features more dog like. It's not until the fur starts to show on his hands that he realizes something is amiss.
"What the hell?" he growls.
