So if Ares was going to do a Very Formal Divine Presentation of a nice gift to the Phoenix Deity, would he get a response back? Would the monks be used to this?

He would be doing the Ares thing of giving a choice weapon as a present. Dionysus is also getting dragged along to bring something nice.

The Phoenix is very particular and insistent upon receiving offerings of color from one's own body! While the monks would be delighted to add these gifts to the altar itself when the bird isn't present, attempts to offer them to the Phoenix while it sits on the altar will result in the same colorless curse. It will be unable to speak, but may show its disdain for subpar offerings either by pecking them or making them very ugly in color.

If the offerings are given to the monks instead, they'll be added to the altar later, and eventually recolored by the Phoenix to suit its own tastes.

Technically speaking, the Phoenix is just a very old ayakashi, and has been given the deity treatment both due to its unnaturally old age, and because Phoenix are very rare.

There are Yokai who can't exist outside of specific conditions, so there are all kinds of weird potions for that, yeah.

So I recall previously you said that Yokai make a variety of potions and the like for those who can't exist outside of specific conditions. Out of curiosity, would it be possible for Kuro to find something in the marketplace that would enable him to withstand sunlight in human form for a few hours or so?

Yes, absolutely! There are definitely varieties of Yokai that struggle going out into sunlight (either because of light sensitivity in the eyes due to being traditionally nocturnal, or due to being some variety of shadow yokai). Because the demand for Yokai-specific items is much higher in the West than in the East, something like this would be easily available at any typical drugstore.

You're free to decide how effective they are on him and how easy they are for him to obtain!

Game Plans: Firstly, as much as I want to dive in to all of this, I need to keep myself in check and take small bites on the heels of being MIA for an eternity and a half. So plans are minimal, and as follows!
1.) I am obligated to get Katsuki high. His birthday is 4/20 for fuck's sake, and I am one big stoner jam. Just imagine him all chill, but trying to be grumpy, and failing. It'll be good.
2.) Possibly magic/memory stone, if someone wants to get deep with me. I'm down to unfun clown around here!

Seeking: Anything, minus touchy-feely/smut stuff! Workin' that slowburn ship like no other. Getting Katsuki SILLY ON THAT UKI will be fun, easy, and a good way to build some more positive cr. He's less likely to call your character a dick face and tell 'em to fuck off, this way... so there's that. But hey, if you have ideas, lay 'em on me!

if you want a partner for the wooden tunnel, Osomatsu will not be plagued by memories of the past, which means he's a good grounder for your character, if you want to do that. bring me your illusions of the past! he will offer comfort! or forgive you for your sins!

Kashuu is absolutely going to fuck the emperor with the power of handwaving.

As for things people can do with him?

- Who wants to really discover Kashuu's thing? His traumatic past in Ikedaya will be on display, plus subsequent being left behind by his old master, while he was trying to learn his elemental affinity. He would be very sensitive and emotional, so whoever partnered with him for this better be prepared to deal with love and abandonment issues Kashuu.
- Kashuu will discover he can use Hi aka Fire magic. So learning and experimenting with it and how far he can use it! At very least, he can toast things on the go.
- Something about getting Kashuu to dress up like a geisha, because he would love the dressing up and getting makeup part. Compliments highly recommended here.
- Wacky Weed time? Mainly for cuddling and lots of soft skinship than sex. But Kashuu would be more open to sex if he likes your character already.

- HAHAHA Oh boy. Sticking to that he's gonna be a Kaze user since he's canonically an anemo (wind) user back home but he's going to have more things to do/learn with this.
- Xiao has a LOT of bad shit in his history. So in other words I am DOWN for him going with someone and getting affected by the memory stone. THIS means that people will get to see a glimpse into his YEARS of being forced to kill/murder, eat people's dreams and essentially kept as a slave for an evil god.
- Do I intend to get him high? Absolutely. Come witness a 2000+ year old essentially demi-god be totally calm/whacked out which is not a normal thing by any means. This also means him possibly actually flirting with someone too~

- Despite her hyperactive energy, she's really good with people for the most part. So she's going to try and calm people down if they start getting out of control and doing what she can to help.
- Debating if I wanna get her all whacked out on Uki as well, but we'll see where things go if people want something w/ that.

Mahiru isss probably sitting out on this one unless someone specifically wants him for the event tbh. Mostly hanging around Kuro and trying to keep him out of trouble honestly.

OKAY SO.
Val's new, so I'm mainly just trying to get a feel for things and get some CR going, but I do have a couple specific things in mind. I do already have a top level here for the memory share thing (+ geisha dress-up.)

For the memory share, Val's is def open to anyone who wants in on it. It's mostly just sad, but that's what happens when your mentor dies and his family wants nothing to do with you. (You know, when you're playing a character who has memory loss issues, memory share events are a THING lmao.) She won't have much trouble leaving it behind, but it will haunt her for awhile.

She'll have an affinity for water, so that will eventually happen, too.

In general, I'd really like to just explore CR options with her. She's generally almost TOO nice, so she might be a good foil for more brusque types, because they really won't bother her too much.

She tends to keep her memory loss pretty close, but it will become apparent when she does forget names/takes notes/gets lost, so if anyone wants to work toward figuring out her traumatic brain injury, lemme know. I'd love to do that.
