Event Plans:
• SOUL ARTIFACTS Aether's soul is kinda funky because he broke it once (he got better) so everything drawn from him will have a certain appearance, but I'd really love to play with character drawing weird things from each other, or just conventional weapons! Or even just failing to draw a weapon and so some weird chest touching just keeps happening.
• TRIALS!! Please give me all the stupid threads for the Trial of Promise. Would be down for smooches or smut to open the door, too!
• I'd really like to do some serious stuff with the Trail of Love maybe?? Mostly since Aether's artifact will likely look very fragile, so he may have some Feelings about that.
• He can save people from the boiling pond, or maybe hang out in the gooey pond?? Unwanted boners are always funny.
• Honestly up for anything!!

• He's just gonna be really mad that it's so hot?? Not sure which Oni city to throw him in yet, but leaning Ao Oni!
• Please go clothes shopping with him, I need this disaster in my life.
• Soul artifacts?? He doesn't have too much close CR yet but I'm down for handwaving that characters are already acquainted if we wanna just jump right into things!
• Getting stuck in the Trial of Promise is just always funny?? Especially if two characters get a prompt they 100% could never do together. Def up for characters having to forfeit, too!
• Yes, Rin is going to jump across the boiling spring. Maybe he can even fall in and scare someone?? It's fine, he'll be fine.

GOD both are so tempting, but I know we talked about Melissa getting to see Aether be badass for once sometime, so maybe they could do the Trial of Devotion? Melissa goes in thinking she'll protecc her soft boy, and then Aether yeets one of the giant beetles to the other side of the mountain with one hand. It could also be fun thinking up what their soul artifacts would be for each other!

No, I'm kidding. What if, under a clear starry night, it has the power to purify (or "clean") things? That would be neat, and mirror his ability to purge shit like he did with Durin's curse on that sword.

Oh no that's cute... time to make them run into an ayakashi on the way up so she can undo its curse with a vibrating feather duster. I can even make it a new one, because I have that power!!

I'm not 100% on what he should pull from her, but since she was the one being the prince(ess) in their little fantasy, maybe a crown of insight foresight that lets him know when danger is ahead? It'd be kinda fitting, since she has a vague idea of how her "story" will go from being an isekai.

I'm torn between Trial of Promise and Trial of Love.

GOSH both are tempting... I don't have any hits for the trial of love yet though, so that one could be interesting for them! Aether would be super torn between not wanting to cause her harm, but also being wary of what breaking his artifact could do (since he broke his soul in game pretty early on due to other kizuna-based magic, it has a cracked/kintsugi'd appearance), so that conflict between them in a fight could be interesting!

And Lucy would feel bad once she sees the frail appearance of his artifact. I was thinking her own artifact might also be cracked (a handheld mirror, or porcelain doll, or something like that), as a reflection of her split personality, but also her being a broken on the inside. (But I like the idea of her and Nyuu's artifact changing appearance based on who pulls it out, so it could be anything else broken or flawed.)

Hmm... If Aether would want to continue to fight, she'd ask him if he's sure and if he is, she'd shrug and say "okay..." She might tell him to just break hers, because she can take the pain (after everything she already had to go through in life). Or she'd ask if they should just surrender the trial together. What do you think?

Ooh a cracked mirror sounds good actually! It would definitely make him curious, since he'd know why his own appears as something broken. Maybe go one step further, and its power is just that it shows the opposite time of day in the reflected image (so he'd see the stars behind him when he looks into it during the day)?

For his own, maybe she could pull out a little clay shooting star? Or she can wield a really neat sword!

Also them surrendering the trial, and then passing anyway, sounds like a good way to solve things!

I like that idea for the mirror's power! Because I was also thinking that the girls' most common appearance for their artifact could be a cracked mirror, and what it shows changes depending on the person, so Aether could see the opposite time of day whereas someone else would see something completely different. (Dunno what it'd show for the girls when they themselves look into it yet, but right now I'm thinking that it changes depending on how the girls feel.)

The sword would be interesting, since Lucy doesn't use weapons often due to her powers.

Yeah! Maybe at first, Lucy tells Aether to just break hers, but they decide to surrender in the end.

Almost forgot, but here's an image for the mirror! As for the cracks, there wouldn't be as many like a spiderweb kind of design, it'd be more like a perfect split down the middle that branches off into two other cracks towards the bottom.
