That is true, isn't it. I don't think there's a detriment to bring reasonably concerned, personally.
[Reasonably being both parsonal and subjective, of course. She speaks of archons, and of Barbatos and Murata in particular, and in such Zhongli can see why she was so moved by the Anemo Archon. Her strength of will is impressive, even for a Muratan.]
Indeed... in some ways, the archons are perhaps judged more harshly than all others. An absent god, a heartless god... [He exhales a sigh, eyes closing for a moment. The irony that those very same dissenters are normally derived from the most understanding of roots has never escaped him.]
But, enough on that. I'm hardly qualified to claim so much knowledge as to speak for an Archon besides my own. Many would say I'm simply foolish even with it comes to Rex Lapis. But-- yes. Liyue's archon is known by many names - the God of Contracts, the Prime Adeptus, and the Warrior God chief among them. He had been known to appear as a dragon, particularly for the Rite of Descension, a yearly visit intended to help guide Liyue to prosperity for the year to come.
It is, as you have surmised, quite the spectacle to behold. That said, there are also stories of Rex Lapis appearing in any number of forms in order to guide his people... many of which, I imagine, have at least been quite embellished by their authors.
