Jingyi smiles hearing Maglor knew he was loved. He doesn't have to know the other details to be happy about that part. Every child should be loved by their parent like Hanguang Jun loved him (or, you know, his mother).

"Rangers?" He frowns unsure who those would be. Based on context, they sounded like maybe they were rogue Cultivators. He doesn't understand how soldiers were equivalent to Cultivators though. Anyone could be just a soldier. You had to have a spiritual talent to be a Cultivator. Fortunately, he's smart enough to not voice his unexamined prejudice.

"What's Rohirrim?" He asks. It sounds like a clan or sect but not Maglor's. Otherwise, wouldn't Maglor have said he was from that clan with his introduction? The news about the women has Jingyi nodding with a pleased look. "There are women who are Cultivators too! Our clan had a very famous leader who was a woman, Lan Yi. For propriety they are schooled separately than the men, but some can be just as strong as us." He has no idea if the schooling is on par with the men, but he assumes it is.

He snickers. "Like a bird?" He asks, finding the thought amusing, though it's not condescending. "I'd be happy to! May I hear what your language sounds like?"
