Sephiroth gives a subtle, almost unconscious nod in acknowledgement of his success. Except--he isn't expecting what comes next. He pauses, his hand hovering over the morsel of food. It could easily be mistaken for him waiting for direction when it is actually an adjustment he is making to the topic.

Sephiroth is used to the backbiting that goes on at Shinra. He normally just ignores it if it somehow filters its way to him. What throws him here is the complete irreverence inherent in the statement in addition to the source. It's refreshing in a way. It reminds him a little bit of Genesis, not that he's going to share those particular thoughts aloud.

Sephiroth follows Rufus's instructions and brings the bite of food to his mouth. What follows is an explosion of flavor that makes him blink.

"I see," he says, because he now understands why "all the rich snobs" liked it so much.
