A lot of escapology is inspired by one guy from a little over a hundred years ago, back in my world. [Exhaling a laugh, he shakes his head.] I was inspired by the way he left his audiences so amazed, I guess. He escaped everything from milk barrels to coffins, sometimes buried alive.

I kind of grew into it. My shows are pretty varied, but these past couple years or so I've found a sort of... affinity for fire. We don't have anything like the magic here, so knowing I'm good with it kind of gives me an edge, yeah?
