The seriousness of the matter is immediately apparent before Rufus even speaks. It's in the way the other man closes the distance between them. Both his gaze and then his words have a certain weight to them that was absent before too. Sephiroth takes his time to consider their meaning. In the end he has no idea, just that this is important. Rufus had his full attention before but there is a new intensity to Sephiroth's gaze as he regards him now. He goes still, almost eerily so, but all he is doing is listening.

Sephiroth does so at length. He even closes his eyes after a while and stills his breathing.

Finally, he opens them.

"No." There is nothing, and no more to say on the matter either.
