Rufus appreciates Reno's attention to detail, moving towards where the crowd wasn't as noisy so he wouldn't have to practically shout to talk to Reno.

"No, it wasn't allowed. Veld had an uncanny ability to sense when I was going to do something I wasn't supposed to so my escape attempts when I was younger were always thwarted," he admits with a wry smile.

"I did want to, when I was younger. I wanted to see what life was like outside of Shinra as if I was just someone else in the crowd," he comments as he finds somewhere they can sit in the shade. "But I learned that such things were not to be- at least, back home. Evan got to live that life, a life I know I can't understand."
