Except, she'd always have her back turned or the mirror would only show her from the neck down. When I got to the highest floor, a kouribake literally pulled me into the reality reflected in the mirror and switched places with me.

My memory after that is pretty hazy, but the one thing that sticks out is my mother's face. I finally got to see it and hear her voice while I was trapped in that alternate reality.
