Jack comes from a place and time where civilized religion is decidedly against celebrations of genitalia. To him, the festival is equal parts novel and refreshing. It's nice to see a society embrace the act of sex rather than attempting to shove it away into the dark - even if the volume of phallic objects and foodstuffs seems a bit silly.
He too is drawn to the shrine out of casual curiosity. There's a woman standing outside, and he looks to her with the intention of asking what she knows about it - but she speaks first.
"If they are allowing visitors," he agrees - which is apparently enough for the shrine doors to be opened, inviting them inside.
((ooc: regarding the "desire to fill or be filled," I can go either way on which side Jack falls on, or we could do a both/and. whatever you're down for!))
